Documentation changelog

Additions and corrections to Recognito's guides. For new features, improvements, and product fixes, see What's new.

October 2026

  • Search: the documentation now has a search box in the top bar. It searches every guide and the API reference.
  • Matching types: corrected the direction of the range Matching Types. They compare the document's value with the entity's value, so a range uses More Than or Equal on the lower bound and Less Than (or Less Than or Equal) on the upper bound. See Matching types and the approval routing recipe.
  • Approval routing recipe: the definition now maps to the Approvers target instead of document fields, and the test step checks the approvers panel. See Routing approvals by invoice total.
  • Mapped columns: added how a workflow switches a document's line items on or off with the Table Clipboard target. See Mapped columns.

September 2026

  • Added Splitting, combining and trimming documents, with the related settings, intake and API guidance.

  • What's new: product updates now have their own What's new section with a page per update, replacing the Changelog page (old links redirect). The Recognito app shows them under What's new in its sidebar.

  • Entity imports: clarified that imports can remove records missing from a worksheet even when Overwrite existing entities is off. The import guide explains how to prepare a complete dataset and protect saved defaults.

  • Fallback rules: corrected the supported levels to Level 0 and Level 1, including what happens when a fallback is missing. See Fallback records before reviewing your configuration.

  • Assignee workflows: clarified that naming a workflow Approvers does not enable assignee-change behavior by itself. See Workflow triggers for the required configuration.

  • Email intake: expanded guidance on attachment classification and sender receipts, including duplicate files and delivery exceptions. See Email inbox.

August 2026

Added illustrated walkthroughs for account setup, document review, and project administration. Updated the first-day reading path to help you find the guides relevant to your role.
