Documentation rebuild — Phase 3 (in progress)
The full public documentation site is being rebuilt on VitePress with a locked information architecture and an updated voice. Phase 3 publishes the public pages across:
- Start Here — orientation pages for everyone.
- Using Recognito — the daily reviewer flow.
- Configuring Recognito — the admin track.
- Mapping & Workflows — the rule engine, in depth.
- Integrations — outbound channels (webhooks, Make.com, n8n, ERP connectors, cloud storage).
- API Reference — preserved from the existing developer docs.
The rebuild is ongoing. Pages are being published as they're completed.
Information architecture locked (Phase 2)
The public sidebar structure was locked in Phase 2:
- One top-level section for Mapping & Workflows with five flat sub-sections (Concepts, Entities, Definitions, Workflows, Recipes).
- Concepts placed at Start Here + Mapping sub-cluster + per-reference intros rather than a top-level Concepts section.
- Persona routing via section structure, not per-page badges.
- Enterprise features folded into Configuring as a sub-section, not a separate top-level section.
- Recipes added as a Mapping & Workflows sub-section with the first three recipes covering vendor onboarding, approval routing, and the multi-company discriminator pattern.
Skills and screenshot infrastructure
Behind the scenes, two skills calibrate the doc-writing workflow:
- recognito-doc-writing — voice, components, marketing placeholders, findings workflow.
- recognito-screenshot-capture — 3× DPR capture for crisp HiDPI screenshots, marketing-friendly text mutation, the Annotator library.
Both run inside the docs branch as part of the Phase 3 toolchain.
Older changes
For changes before May 2026, see the project's internal history. The Phase 0 / Phase 1 / Phase 2 deliverables produced the internal "system bible" docs that ground the current public site — those docs aren't on the public site but informed everything here.
If you're looking for product release notes (engine changes, new features, model updates), those live in product release communications from Recognito's team. This changelog covers documentation specifically.
